Biloela and Moura golf clubs sinking final rounds
GOLF: The Biloela Golf Club has been busy over the last couple of weeks with results coming in from its competition days.
On Saturday Christmas Eve weekend there was a Medley Stableford sponsored by Steve Rizzini and the winner on a countback was Bruce Robson from Brian Green, both on 41.
Steve Rizzini was on 40, Adrian Harris 39 and Steve Ryrie on 37.
Word around the 19th hole has it Steve and Butch went down 5-5-10 to Harry and Bear. The pin shots 2/16 went to C. Cruice, Hole 8 B. Hutton, Hole 11 S. Rizzini and Hole 13 S. Dietrich.
The next day on Sunday was a Medley Stroke sponsored by Bruce Robson. The winner was Cam Schmidt 68, Adrian Harris 69, Butch Hutton and Dr Charles Miles 70, Mark Warnick and John Barber 71.
The word around the 19th hole has it Steve and Mark went down 5-5-10 to Butch and Peter.
Pin shots 2/16 went to A. Harris, Hole 8 S. Ryrie, Hole 11 A. Harris and Hole 13 M. Warnick.
Also, the Ball Book will be cleared in the New Year.
At the Moura Golf Club it was an early start last Sunday to beat the heat with seven golfers starting off and the overall winner was Brett Maller on a 71 nett score.
Runner-up was Kevin Lambert-Baker with a 73 nett score.
The pin shots for the day were 2/11 Bevin Maller and number 9/18 Russell Long and the club organisers recommend playing early again on Sunday to avoid the heat of the day.
On the Thursday Club the back nine was played with seven players including visitors Ian Edmistone and Russell Long.
Pauline Lambert-Barker and Peter McGuire both had 22 points and Peter McGuire came out the winner.
The pin shots were number 11 R. Long and number 15 Brett Maller who was lucky enough to win the membership.
