RACE 4 of the Biloela Bushrangers Triathlon race will be held this Sunday.
Club organiser Lacreesha Trevithick is expecting quite a few competitors for the second last event of the season.
"We are expecting around 25 to 35 competitors this time,” Lacreesha said.
Sunday's event will be the last race held before the Mooloolaba Triathlon in two weeks.
"It will give everyone a chance to get in their last minute training,” Lacreesha said.
The last race was held on Australia Day; the biggest race of the set.
"Australia Day is always our biggest race, we had 45 compete this year,” Lacreesha said.
With temperatures predicted to be high for the weekend, Lacreesha explained the club is well prepared.
"We have hydration stations set up and in the run sections we have a sprinkler just up from the tennis court,” she said.
"That way it's up to the competitors if they wish to run through it or around it.
"We also have a qualified first aid officer on site and free water is supplied after the event.”
There will be a series of sections to complete the race including swimming, biking and running, and people are encouraged to compete in groups if they are not confident in one area.
"If you are not confident in swimming but you want to do the running get some mates together and you can all compete in a group and compete in one section,” Lacreesha said.
All ages and abilities are encouraged to compete.
"We have families competing; a mother and daughter group and a 65 year old cancer survivor who is competing in our club event in March so it is open to anyone,” Lacreesha said.
"It is just about getting out and having a go whether you think you can or not.”
Sign on will be at 6:10am with races scheduled to start at 6:30am.
The meeting point is at the rear entrance of the pool and vehicles are to be parked in the Civic Centre carpark.
For insurance purposes all competitors must be members of the PCYC and competitors can sign up for this on the day.

Mini course: 150m swim/5km bike/1.5km run.
Short course: 300m swim/9km ride/3km run.
Long course: 750m swim/18km ride/5km run.
