Daredevil's on the way

SOME of the best freestyle motocross riders in Australia will be coming to Biloela to perform daredevil flips and tricks.

Claimed by many as the most spectacular main arena act in the country, Showtime FMX are bringing the most experienced freestyle moto x team in Australia to Biloela.

Showtime FMX announcer, Tommy Gillinder, said Biloela can expect an action-packed motocross show.

"We're bringing to Biloela a street party where we get people excited with give-aways, and a DJ cranking some tunes,” Mr Gillinder said.

"We've got two of the best free-stylers in our team coming on out there to hit the big 75 foot ramp,” Mr Gillinder said.

"All of our riders are the top in the world and have been riding professionally since they were around 15.”

Mr Gillinder was able to point out the nationally acclaimed riders that Biloela can expect to see.

"You've got Robbie Marshall, he was Australian Motocross and Supercross Champion and turned professional at just 16,” Mr Gillinder said.

"Brad Burch will be out there as well, he travels around with the Nitro Circus crew.”

The Showtime FMX crew relish the opportunity to bring their show to smaller regional towns like Biloela.

"We love going to the country towns, it's one of those things where we find there are so many people that are into dirtbikes and motocross,” Mr Gillinder said.

"It's a chance for the guys who can't actually come to the major towns to see a freestyle show like a Crusty Demon or Showtime FMX show.

"Rather than getting everybody to come to the big city, we bring the big city to the country.”

Tom Kirchner, from Biloela Betta Home Living, major sponsor for the event, sees the event as a great way for his brand to give back to the community.

"I've been here for about seven months now and we've received a fair bit of support since coming here,” Mr Kirchner said.

"It's a good way we can do something for the community and give back with a free show.”

The Showtime FMX event is free to attend and will run from 6-8pm, June 22, at Biloela Betta Home Living, 53 Kariboe St.
