Drug charges laid after Biloela traffic stop
A TRUCK driver will appear before Biloela Magistrates Court after a police search of his truck's cabin allegedly produced a small bag of the drug ice and a small glass pipe.
Police intercepted the truck as part of a routine traffic stop at a static interception site on Gladstone Rd in Biloela late on Tuesday afternoon.
Police will allege a search of the truck's cabin produced a bag containing 0.315g of methylamphetamine and an ice pipe contained in a black sunglasses case, stored in a compartment above the driver's steering wheel.
The quantity of ice found, 0.315g, is equivalent to approximately three hits of the drug.
The driver, a 46-year-old Browns Plains man, was charged with possession of a dangerous drug and possession of a utensil and is due to appear in court on March 22.
