Former Rocky reporter watching Paris news anxiously
10.45am: EX Bulletin reporter Guy Williams says he has heard from his mate in Paris and his mate is safe.
9.40am: FORMER Capras player and The Morning Bulletin sports reporter Guy Williams is anxiously watching the news from his new home in France about the Paris terrorist attack.
Talking with The Bulletin via Facebook, Guy says he is 'ages away' - the equivalent distance between Brisbane and the Beef Capital.
He said he doesn't know much - just what is on television, but his friends are waiting on news of friends in the French capital.
"I'm sitting here with some French people and we're watching the TV," he said.
"They don't have family up there but they have friends there. They're looking on Facebook to see if they've written anything.
"'I've got a mate in Paris at the moment. He's heading back to Toulouse tomorrow evening so I hope he's OK. I haven't heard from him yet."
Guy says he doesn't think the attack is over.
"I'm safe where I am. I'm a long way away from Paris. It is quite concerning though. It's on every channel here."
How does the Paris attack make you feel about your safety?
This poll ended on 30 November 2015.
No different. These were isolated extremists who want us to feel scared. I won't let them win.
A little unsafe. This could happen anywhere, with any target.
Really worried. I don't think Australia is prepared for an attack like this.
It makes me less likely to visit Europe, but I feel safe here.
