New cafe now open in Biloela

LIVE music, a menu including some all-time favourite meals as well as a selection of contemporary choices set alongside a relaxing atmosphere topped off with fairy lights is proving popular at Biloela's new Oasis Bar and Cafe.

Owner and manager Mark Di Ruggiero said the venue, which opened mid-October, was serving breakfast, lunch and dinner with an aim to offer live music every Friday night.

Mr Di Ruggiero said he wanted to "reinvigorate” Friday nights for locals and provide somewhere people could eat and enjoy a night out.

He said the evening restaurant menu offered a range of food including the ever-popular steak as well as a few new offerings including stuffed avocado, orange chicken and grilled balsamic chicken.

"I'm hoping to provide somewhere that's different to the norm. I want to make this the type of place people would go to when they're away, with al fresco dining and drinks,” he said.

"There's no pokies, no TAB - it's purely food, entertainment and somewhere for people to come and relax.”

As well as quality food, Mr Di Ruggiero said coffee was also a priority.

"I reckon we have the best coffee in town, I really do. I'm pedantic about coffee,” he said.

"We've been getting fantastic reviews on Facebook and I reckon I've got two of the best baristas in town.”

Mr Di Ruggiero said his ethos was that his customers "always come first”.

"I just want them to come down and have fun and know there's somewhere different where they can dress up and come and have a good night out.”

He said there was a smart-casual evening dress code after 6pm.

Breakfast is served from 7am-11am, lunch from 11am-2pm and dinner from 6pm.

The cafe, at Shop 3, 38 Dawson Highway, Biloela is open from 7am-10pm on Sunday-Thursday, and 7am-midnight from Friday-Saturday.
