Pre-preppies start orientation

GOOVIGEN State School hosted a Bike and Road Safety Day on October 22.

It was delivered by Goovigen’s local Constable, Rick Campbell.

Playgroup students and parents joined in the fun with the PCYC bicycle trailer being used for the event.

  • So far this term, Goovigen school’s eKindy Pod gained an extra day in funding, with the Pod now offering two days of eKindy sessions.

The eKindy is calling on all potential students who are looking to enrol in 2020, to contact the Capricornia School of Distant Education for details on how to engage in the program.

  • Pre-Prep Transitions have started for the 2020 Prep year.

We welcomed 4 Prep students on Monday for a two-hour session, experiencing their new learning environments.

Students participated in a mix of fine motor, gross motor and literacy sessions, with staff and students.

The excitement was clear with new and current students, with everyone looking forward to our next session.

Pre-Prep Transition days will be held every Monday, with the final session on the November 25.

  • Scholastic Book Fair was held this week, with students celebrating their love for literacy with a dress up day.

All students and staff went to a great effort to come as their favourite book character with a huge range of ideas.

Students and staff shared their stories throughout the day and enjoyed the fun.
