Reward to locate lost dog
THERE is no price that can be put on the love for a pet, but one family is so desperate to find their beloved dog, they have put up a $2000 reward for anyone who brings him home.
The three-year-old red kelpie - called 'Boots' because of his white paws and chest - has been missing since April6 and his owners are desperate to find him.
The dog slipped out of his collar and has not been seen since.
Anthony Hyde has been helping his ex-wife Karen Hyde, the dog's owner, to find the much-loved pet and has put up a $2000 reward.
"I have put an attractive reward to make it worthwhile to look for it,” Anthony said.
"Boots is missed by a lot of people - the Thangool school kids, parents - but no one misses him more than Karen.
"They were best mates and went everywhere together and when I heard he had disappeared, I put up the reward hoping that someone might find him and bring him back.”
Anthony said it would make Karen's day to have the kelpie back at home again because they were good companions.
Karen said Boots was a much-loved family pet and they would love to get him back.
She was also thankful for Anthony's help in aiding the search for Boots.
"He is trying to do something nice for the family and it is appreciated,” Karen said.
