Sassy Seconds winds up clothing section
THE Kariboe St Collective will be closing down its Sassy Seconds fashion section to make way for a different line of clothing style.
The multi-purpose store opened Sassy Seconds in July 2018, giving people a place to sell their stylish used clothing.
"People would come in with their good clothes for sale and we would get a commission for the sale, the former owners would get the rest,” the manager of the collective store, Josie Rigney, said.
"We wanted to keep shopping in Biloela and try to keep it local.”
Josie said she would try to contact the owners of the remaining Sassy Seconds clothing by Mother's Day weekend.
"It's an idea we got from other places down south but unfortunately it hasn't worked here,” she explained.
While one section of the collective store hasn't worked, it has opened the door for another line of clothing to take its floor space.
There are nearly 30 micro businesses located in the collective store, offering everything from useful gadgets, books and art to handmade soaps and body products.
Josie said the new fashion section should appeal to a large range of local shoppers.
"We are going to move the boutique clothing line in from next door and it will have CTM Western Wear and Delishh on offer,” she said.
