Sing along to your favourites

GET ready to come together with the community to sing all of your favourite Christmas carols this weekend.

The Churches of Biloela are once again holding their annual Carols by Candlelight and have sought out some amazing talent to have you singing your heart out all night long.

This has been an ongoing tradition within the community for over 62 years.

"We seek out local talent from within our community and invite them to be part of the Carols ,” co-ordinator for Carols by Candlelight Kylie Wills said.

"They come along to perform different songs and dances for the community to sing along to and enjoy.

"We have amazing local talent and love giving them the opportunity to showcase their talent and share their gift with the community.”

Mrs Wills said she was looking forward to the entire evening.

"I am the biggest kid when it comes to Christmas. I am looking forward to every performance,” she said.

"Biloela State High School Dance Group are dressing as angels for their performance, so I am looking forward to seeing how the public responds as this is beautifully presented.”

Mrs Wills said it was wonderful seeing the Carols grow each year.

"I think it is important to come together as a community and celebrate the true meaning of Christmas,” she said.

Carols by Candlelight will start at 6pm this Sunday, December 2, at Queensland Heritage Park, Biloela.

Entry is free, however, gold coin donation is appreciated. The night will also feature food stalls, fireworks and the ever-popular Gingerbread Village.
